Part 1

Coach Fav presents some of the strangest occurrences seen in a casino. Several of these stories came from group members of Casinos USA’s Facebook group. These are very unusual for sure.

Part 2

In Craps Talk in this episode Coach Fav examines the practice of coming out by betting on both the Don’t Pass and Pass Line in equal amounts. This practice eliminates the issue of being beat by a craps number on the come out roll. However, it also negates winning on a seven or eleven. Either way a 7–11-2-3-12 cancel one another out. Players doing this lifts the DP bet once the point is established and then bet behind the line from the pass line. He does not use this approach himself. He explains why.

Part 3

Janie discusses the slot concessions at Harry Reid International Las Vegas where two million dollar wins came in both June and July of 2023. She also continues to report on the most inexpensive places to eat in the Las Vegas area.

Resident Boomer Coach Fav asks the Gen-Xers, Millennials, and Gen Z to answer the podcast question honestly. He then proceeds with the wisdom of decades of Vegas experiences to explain why Boomers are still welcome in Vegas. Yet he embraces many of the changes in Vegas as casino managers are no longer just focusing on Boomers. Boomers are not the future.

In Part II of the podcast Janie and Coach Fav give many tips on how to plan and execute a trip to Vegas for an NFL Raiders game or a college game at Allegiant Stadium. They have done it twice. Still, I set dice because I believe that certain sets generate specific numbers quite often. However, I also believe that one of the numbers is ALWAYS A 7 regardless of what my set is.  It’s simple to understand; there are more ways to make a 7 than another number.

Coach Fav and Janie discuss how over 200 Native American Tribes have used their casino expertise and financial assets to assume ownership of casinos and hotels outside of out of Tribal Lands. Their growth is so very impressive. It all started with a federally approved Bingo Hall on Tribal Lands in Florida.

Is a Vegas vacation now too expensive? Janie and Coach Fav understand that everything is more expensive these days. Yet they have important advice how one person or a family can mitigate the costs dramatically. They also explain where to find $5 craps, blackjack, and roulette near the center of the Las Vegas Strip and enjoy the availability of great food at an amazingly low price at the same time.

Finally, in Craps Talk, Coach Fav reviews his common practice of betting at a $25 table. He once won $100 in four rolls of the dice at Maryland Live Casino. Maybe you will too.

Coach Fav makes the strong point that learning as much as you can about the casino games that you play make the experience of casino gambling much more fun, much more intimate and possibly often more profitable.  He repeatedly emphasizes that there is no sure fire system for any table game or slot machine and that ultimately you have to be your own gambling authority. This outlook directly challenges the “gambling pundits” that say they have the system for a table game or slot machine that will make you rich, and they offer it for a special price.  “Not so,” says Coach Fav. Find your own way, read, observe, discuss, and experience the games or slots, but perfect, foolproof systems to beat the casinos do not exist. No one has been banned from a casino because of the system that they are using or the way that they set craps dice. No one. Card counters are banned because under casino laws they can be. That’s the only exception. There is no other.

In a special podcast personal segment, Janie discusses two of the most interesting downtown Vegas casinos, the El Cortez and the Downtown Grand. She explains what they are presently offering that’s new while keeping their authentic gambling experiences alive for all those who cherish the “good old days of Las Vegas.”

Janie and Coach Fav discuss the one question that seldom is considered on a gambling podcast or similar YouTube video. That is, “Is the growth of legalized gambling across the United States a good thing?” The American Gaming Association projects that Super Bowl betting will reach $16 billion this year. Wow! 2022 was a sensational year regarding American casino revenues. Now the Gen Z generation is seemingly ready to Take It Higher. Coach Fav and Janie warn about gambling addictions but embrace legalized gambling believing that if gambling was banned it would not stop but simply return to the control of  criminal organizations again. Legalized gambling …. It’s taxed. It’s regulated. It’s safe.

In Craps Talk Coach Fav explains that the 18th century betting system called the Martingale has been revived by the low minimum wagers of 50 cents on state approved legal gambling acts. He explains how to make it work for you in live games online.

Finally, Coach Fav reinforces his belief in establishing a win-loss limit and developing the self-discipline to quit playing when ahead. Without this discipline and a true loss limit, even recreational gambling can become self-destructive.
