Part I

Do Advantage Players exist? Is it something that one can make oneself by study, practice, and imitation? Coach Fav gives his view and does indeed identify those players who have an advantage over the casino. Sounds good but realize that they are banned from playing the game that they have an own an advantage over the house. The best that we can do is to play even with a casino so that they have no advantage over us. Coach Fav explains there is only one way to beat the house, but it’s very hard to do. Learning legitimate strategies will help your game but will not give you an advantage. If you follow our best advice in this segment, you will definitely increase the times that you come home from a casino with winnings. This is not a scam. It’s the honest truth. 

Part II

Mini family Casinos USA reunion worked so well at Rocky Gap Casino Resort in Western Maryland because the weather was perfect for enjoying the outdoor features available at RG: swimming in the lake, kayaks, fishing, evening fire pits, and enjoying the indoor pool with the roof open. Four adults and 3 children – 8, 12, and 13 – we all got into the outdoor activities. Son Geoff lives in Maryland. Daughter Jill lives in Las Vegas. They had not seen each other in person for four years. Kids warmed up to one another very quickly. 

Part III

Odds and Ends: 

(A) South West Airline Issues.  The email we received on July 19 from SW told us our flight to Vegas was changed. Instead of a nonstop 4 hours, 20 minutes, Pittsburgh to Las Vegas, the new flight added two stops and would be 8 hours, 15 minutes. A call to SW led us to a nonstop flight that was leaving the same day but 5 hours earlier. It still had available  seats. We took it. No change in price because SW will move us for free as they made the change. 

(B) Pennsylvania opened up smoking for gamblers. Smoking inside casinos and other public buildings was stopped during the Pandemic. That’s an ouch for me. How about you?

(C) Post Pandemic are things the same as they used to be? Our answer is, “NO.” We are not sure that things will ever return to what they were. Transportation costs around Las Vegas are a nightmare beginning with getting from the airport to your hotel. Also the shortage of workers is forcing changes to the way casinos work. So many things are very shaky. 

(D) We will be in Las Vegas for the Monday Night football game September 13 as the LV Raiders welcome the Baltimore Ravens. There will be four of us on the trip with a fifth person joining us in midweek. Hope we can meet some or our listeners.

Part III. In the Final Thoughts session, Coach Fav argues that the near demise of American cultural literacy is creating an intellectual void with people who think they know what’s what. For example, how many people know where the name of the Resorts World Bar, The Great Gatsby, came from?  He adds that Resorts World is not about white privilege but all about WEALTH PRIVILEGE. “Tennis, anyone?”

In our first segment we react to the national sports media going after Las Vegas Raiders

Coach, John Gruden by calling him, “…the worst coach in the NFL.” We give you our take on the upcoming season and the Raiders’ chances.  In all honesty, they are not so bright. Yet we do believe that Coach Gruden will turn them around. He is in his third year of an amazing 10 year contract. Despite what you might hear, he is not going anywhere.

We recommend the game of Baccarat to all because of its very low house advantage. In fact, to surpass the edge one would have to be a world class Blackjack player. In Baccarat, which is not a game of skill, the edge is available to all who play.  Yet there are two mistakes people can make with Baccarat. We explain in detail.

Janie drops in and discusses two slot machine video-makers on YouTube that she enjoys. Janie was unaware that YouTube was available on our large screen televisions until recently. Now she enjoys these videos quite often. She refuses to watch YouTube on her phone.

Finally, Coach Fav praises the Golden Knights for a great overtime win in Denver.  He also scolds the YouTube producers who simply talk to invisible people supposedly sending them money. Stop It. Focus on your product. Everyone knows that YouTubers support the channels that they enjoy. Stop talking about a $5 kicker to you from someone we cannot see or hear. There are two concerns that too many gamblers ignore, which lead to possible harm.

1. Never gamble while intoxicated

2. Never gamble with money that you simply cannot afford to lose.

 Big Crap Mistakes

1. Giving dealers $500 and saying I am willing to lose this if you help me learn how to play.

2. Trying to get chips while a shooter has the dice in their hands. 

3. Fighting a streak because you only play a system and seldom or never change

4. Forgetting where your bets are and forgetting to pick up winning field bets

5. Not taking odds behind the pass line

6. Not quitting when you are ahead and the table run is over

7. Playing craps with money you cannot afford to lose.

Slot Machines Mistakes

1. Not reading the rules of the game before you start to play

2. Constantly playing until all your money is lost even though you are often ahead. 

3. Not understanding how much a jackpot wager costs per spin.

4. Not understanding the difference between branded and unbranded slot machines

5. Staying at a cold machine

6. Playing too fast.

LV Travel Vloggers just miss any adequate video presentation of the appealing vacation attractions in Reno, Nevada – beginning with the dozens of casinos just 3 miles from the airport or downtown. How could they miss the attraction of The University of Nevada campus, which is just a few blocks from the famous row: Circus-Circus, Silver Legacy, and the Eldorado on North Virginia Street downtown and next to the famous Reno Arch? Janie sets the record straight. Perhaps the flaw in their thinking is once again because of the insensitivity to small numbers.

Insensitivity to small numbers also affects the thinking of many gamblers and Coach Fav makes the case for coming to grips with this mathematical principle.

In Craps Talk Coach Fav employs betting the long shots to overcome playing from behind on the craps table and makes an amazing comeback and walks away with hundreds of dollars. He again challenges Vloggers who claim they can play craps and never throw a 7.

Part 1. We go back to Rocky Gap Casino Resort after more than a year. What’s changed” What’s the same?  Janie gives you the low down.  Would it be worth it to fly to Rocky Gap from a thousand miles away or more? Yes, it would. Rocky Gap is the most beautiful casino venue in the USA.

Consider these agenda issues when planning a casino resort vacation, especially a challenge when going to Las Vegas as the pandemic winds down. We are booked for 7 nights in Vegas but well aware of a couple of major concerns that we share with our listeners.

Part 2. Bubble Craps makes sense in experimenting with unfamiliar systems of play. Coach Fav gives several examples and supports mixing a few sessions of Bubble Craps with play at a regular Craps table.

Part 1:  Today’s Feature

Janie and Coach Fav rate the newest casino in Western Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh Live, which they have enjoyed on three visits.  Janie also gives the listeners some of the nice stops nearby the “mall” casino.  The Cordish family also owns Philadelphia Live and Maryland live as well as Pittsburgh Live. Maryland Live is in Anne Arundel County in Maryland. It is a “mall” casino and has 4,000 slot machines. It is undergoing a name change to Liver Casino and Hotel.

Part 2:  Odds and Ends 

Illegal sports betting sites are a real danger.  Coach Fav explains how a listener can check the legality and safety of online betting.

Part 3: Craps Talk Explains the term Dice Tendencies

Coach Fav one again takes on the controversial topic of Dice Control. Casinos USA believes in what we call, “Dice Tendencies,” which is quite different than Dice Control. Dice Tendencies is a belief that certain dice sets are usually generate specific numbers. A large number of people checked out the 6/4 – 4/6 set that Coach Fav had great success throwing coast to coast at a recent visit to Pittsburgh Live.
