Coach Fav and Janie discuss how over 200 Native American Tribes have used their casino expertise and financial assets to assume ownership of casinos and hotels outside of out of Tribal Lands. Their growth is so very impressive. It all started with a federally approved Bingo Hall on Tribal Lands in Florida.
Is a Vegas vacation now too expensive? Janie and Coach Fav understand that everything is more expensive these days. Yet they have important advice how one person or a family can mitigate the costs dramatically. They also explain where to find $5 craps, blackjack, and roulette near the center of the Las Vegas Strip and enjoy the availability of great food at an amazingly low price at the same time.

Coach Fav makes the strong point that learning as much as you can about the casino games that you play make the experience of casino gambling much more fun, much more intimate and possibly often more profitable.He repeatedly emphasizes that there is no sure fire system for any table game or slot machine and that ultimately you have to be your own gambling authority. This outlook directly challenges the “gambling pundits” that say they have the system for a table game or slot machine that will make you rich, and they offer it for a special price.“Not so,” says Coach Fav. Find your own way, read, observe, discuss, and experience the games or slots, but perfect, foolproof systems to beat the casinos do not exist. No one has been banned from a casino because of the system that they are using or the way that they set craps dice. No one. Card counters are banned because under casino laws they can be. That’s the only exception. There is no other.
In a special podcast personal segment, Janie discusses two of the most interesting downtown Vegas casinos, the El Cortez and the Downtown Grand. That is, “Is the growth of legalized gambling across the United States a good thing?” The American Gaming Association projects that Super Bowl betting will reach $16 billion this year. Wow! 2022 was a sensational year regarding American casino revenues. Now the Gen Z generation is seemingly ready to Take It Higher. Coach Fav and Janie warn about gambling addictions but embrace legalized gambling believing that if gambling was banned it would not stop but simply return to the control ofcriminal organizations again. Legalized gambling …. It’s taxed. It’s regulated. It’s safe.
In Craps Talk Coach Fav explains that the 18th century betting system called the Martingale has been revived by the low minimum wagers of 50 cents on state approved legal gambling acts. He explains how to make it work for you in live games online.
Finally, Coach Fav reinforces his belief in establishing a win-loss limit and developing the self-discipline to quit playing when ahead. Without this discipline and a true loss limit, even recreational gambling can become self-destructive.

Coach Fav and Janie throughout the podcast state how to get free airfare, free food and beverage comps, and reduced or entirely complimentary room rates while on a Vegas vacation. Many others suggest ways, but no one but Coach Fav and Janie explain how to get these things when you are in your home area, perhaps thousands of miles from Vegas. Living in Western Pennsylvania, how do they fly to Vegas and back for free, get $200 food and beverage credits, greatly reduced room rates, and free slot play? They explain in great detail.
Gambling Hacks: Although they did not talk about this in the podcast, this is a bonus for those who take the time to read the Show Notes. It’s not illegal, but casinos might tell you to stop if they recognize it. Generally, dealers at craps tables care less. We are talking about playing opposites. So for 30 minutes I put $25 on the pass line. Janie at the other end of the table puts $25 and a dollar on the 12 from the Don’t Pass Line. I play single odds, she plays double odds. After 30 minutes we are generally even – maybe less than $10 behind if that. Yet we got credit for being $25 pass line players. We do this at a $10 minimum table. This is our gambling hack, playing opposites for comps.Just to stand next to one another. Enjoy!

The feature of podcast #145 is a discussion with Vegas businessmanJimi Crimi who came to Las Vegas from the Syracuse, New York area in the mid 90’s to seek more opportunity. He started a business in Henderson, Nevada, which grew to point that he now advertises on the huge screens in Allegiant Stadium. Jimi opened an upscale eyewear boutique in Henderson, and it became amazingly successful. He explains to our listeners the pitfalls of a business in the Las Vegas area and the one thing that is required to be successful. He encourages entrepreneurs to join the business community in Las Vegas area and enjoy the unparalleled growth of Southern Nevada as the influx of people seems endless.
Craps Talk: Coach Fav explains the strengths and weaknesses of Come Bets. Many players use them with the Don’t Pass Line, playing a HYBRID betting system. Coach also talks about SMART Craps and Come Bets. Smart Craps mathematically is considered to be the best way to play craps.However,Coach Fav also emphasizes that all crap strategies are not foolproof and some are foolhardy. In the long term of play at any negative expectation casino game (craps included), the casino wins because of the house edge. Certainly casino table games can be beaten in the short term and for those who are willing to quit when they are ahead, craps can be a ton of fun. In general, table games offer a chance to get away from gambling against a computer chip.
STP (Slot Tips, Please). Janie rolls out her way of playing at 3 or 5 slot machines per casino visit while staying with her strict budget of $100 to $300. She believes this gives her the opportunity to find a “hot” machine. Slot players can see how her system makes sense. She also talks about the problem with playing slots in an extremely crowded casino.

Comparing Five NFL Quarterbacks
Coach Fav compares Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Joe Burrow, Josh Allen, and Patrick Mahomes.He asks if it is time to turn the page on Brady and Rodgers. He throws in a “healthy” Lamar Jackson. He leaves out Jalen Hurts because his success thus far is generally associated with the present season. The other four young quarterbacks have more of an NFL resume of success overall.

A room issue that occurs so often that is upsetting for guests once they are in their hotel room is to realize that there is not a safe or a fridge in the room you booked.Call down to the desk and say that you need a fridge. “OK. It ‘s $30 a day. We will have one brought up to you shortly,” the desk responds.Ouch! Coach Fav explains how taking care of these issues before a room is booked assures that you will get one when you do make your booking;that is, by booking a room that comes with a safe and a fridge. Although inflation may not be hurting casinos, it is hurting nearly all of us, so taking care to get what you want actually may you have a much more enjoyable stay.

Introduction: Relax when you are gambling, have fun playing.Please do not assume that anyone who bets much more than you on any table games actually knows much more than you do about the game you are playing. Don’t worry about being a low roller. Play at a level that is comfortable. No one wants to lose, but there is no certainty that you will win, so play with money that you can afford to lose. Otherwise, do not gamble in a casino if you cannot afford to lose money.The biggest lesson is to quit when you are ahead. It might be the toughest thing to do in a casino, but it’s the only way to beat the casino.

Craps Talk
Remember these numbers: 15-6. Coach Fav goes after the come out roll, putting $15 on the pass line and $6 on 3-way craps, which makes him a winner if a 7,11 or 2,3,12 hits. This hedge may not be mathematically sound in the long haul, but often winning consecutive or more come out rolls occurs. So when a 7 hits, he then hops the 7’s in the following come out for 3 dollars and keeps doing that if another 7 hits. If the 2 or 12 hits he presses the 3-way bet by $6. If a 3 rolls, he presses the 3-way bet by $3. Sometimes he makes hundreds just on the come out. Generally speaking, 30% of craps games end on the come out roll. It is so common to get 3 rolls of a 7 and two rolls of craps numbers every time coach plays.
Coach Fav agrees that big money odds behind the pass line really elevates risk, so he generally plays $20 behind the pass line and has no problem with those who simply make place bets. Playing 50 or 100 x odds is for a select few. I am not one of them. I am not going to risk 500 dollars on making the established point. Yet do not forget how playing both the 7-11’s and the 2,3,12 on the come out roll can turn into a big dollar win if they hit in consecutive rolls and more. I walk away from the table a winner playing this way more so than not. That’s a fact. Sure I lose at times. That’s a fact too.
